Martin Brinkmann of GHacks noted:The Windows 11 operating system based on the 21H2 development branch seems to have inherited a bug from the Windows 10 era-under a certain path of C:WindowsSystem32, hundreds of empty folders appeared. After some investigation, it was found that the problem seemed to be caused by the “ProvTool.exe configuration package runtime processing” tool, which could be ignored and deleted without causing any problems.

In fact, the problems caused by the Provisioning Package Runtime Processing tool have been plagued by many since 2019Windows10 users.
But what I didn’t expect was that it continued all the way to the Windows 11 operating system based on the 21H2 development branch.
If you also have a certain degree of obsessive-compulsive disorder for the “purity” of system files (folders), please move to the C:WindowsSystem32configsystemprofileAppDataLocal path to check it.
