According to public information, Liu Guanzhong, born in September 1943, serves as a responsible professor and doctoral tutor of the Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, vice chairman of the China Industrial Design Association and director of the Academic and Exchange Committee, and honorary professor of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Liu Guanzhong founded my country’s first “Department of Industrial Design” in 1984 and is known as the “Father of Industrial Design in China”. In January 2018, he was selected as the first batch of senior professors of liberal arts at Tsinghua University.
