Buyers can choose two different grades-standard GR86 and GR86 Premium. For the 2022 model, the car retains the attractiveness of its rear-wheel drive, while also getting a larger 2.4L engine, which can provide 18% more horsepower and 11% torque. Premium buyers can get standard 18-inch 10-spoke black wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires and a rear spoiler.
In the car, Premium buyers can get black and silver front seats. These seats have six different adjustment methods and are equipped with two-stage heating. The interior is made of perforated UltraSuede and equipped with leather side cushions. The black and silver accents are reflected in the leather-wrapped steering wheel, gear shift cover and handbrake. In addition, Toyota has integrated an 8-inch touch screen multimedia system with 8 speakers for the Premium model.
The basic GR86 is equipped with 17-inch wheels and uses Michelin PriMacy HP tires. The black seat is six-way adjustable, using G embossed fabric and sports fabric side supports to provide textured vinyl. The car’s dashboard, doors and steering wheel also have sporty fabric decorations, as well as an 8-inch touch screen multimedia system with six speakers. Buyers can choose manual transmission or paddle automatic transmission.
The 2022 GR86 is available in seven colors, including Track bRED, Halo White, Steel Silver, Pavement Grey, Raven Black and Neptune or Trueno Blue. With the additional power of the 2022 model, the manual transmission car’s 100 km acceleration time is increased to 6.1 seconds, and the automatic version can be completed in 6.6 seconds. As for pricing, the manual GR86 starts at $27,700, while the automatic version is $29,200. The manual version of GR86 Premium is $30,300, while the automatic version is $31,800. Toyota pointed out that these prices do not include processing and processing by dealers, but the cost of the 2022 model is still a mystery.
