Facebook’s (now renamed Meta) instant messaging application WhatsApp is very popular in the global market. With the version change, its information service has become more and more powerful, and it often promotes improvements and optimizations, making it an alternative to simple text messages.
But when it comes to certain functions, WhatsApp still has a long way to go.One of them is to withdraw the information that has been sent. Although this feature has been launched as early as 2017, it has always had a time limit. Once a certain time has passed, the information cannot be deleted.
The withdrawal function of WhatsApp has a time limit, and the message can be deleted for everyone within this time frame. Currently, WhatsApp allows its users to have up to 4096 seconds (68 minutes and 16 seconds) to delete the message after the message is sent. However, the upcoming update of WhatsApp may remove the deletion time limit.
WABetaInfo has now exposed evidence from the latest WhatsApp beta, indicating that the time limit for withdrawing information has been lifted. Currently, the time limit for performing this action has not been implemented, which means that people can delete sent messages at any point in the chat. There is no clear launch path for this new feature, and it may be completely abandoned. This feature is not available in all test versions of WhatsApp, which also indicates that this feature is still a long way from implementation and may be under development.
