According to news on November 3, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology notified 38 illegal apps that involved excessively requesting permissions and excessive collection of users’ personal information. Apps such as Tencent News, QQ Music, and Xiaohongshu were listed. The above-mentioned APP should be rectified before November 9. If the rectification is not completed within the time limit or the rectification is not in place, it will be dealt with in accordance with laws and regulations and administrative penalties will be imposed.
