According to Sino-Singapore Video, in the growth workshop of Hefei Advanced Crystal Technology Co., Ltd., “diamond gardeners” are checking the “growth situation” of diamonds.

Judging from the video, rough diamonds are slowly growing in advanced containers filled with gas. After weeks or even months of cultivation, man-made diamonds are about to be born.

According to Song Xuerui, general manager of the company, its scientific research team originated from the School of Physics, University of Science and Technology of China.

As early as 1988, the team began research on cultivating diamonds. After 30 years of technical accumulation and research, he has finally mastered the whole process of cultivating diamonds and moved from the laboratory to the market.

It is known that,These lab-grown diamonds are indistinguishable from natural diamonds in nature and can be grown up to a 10-carat diamond with higher purity and cheaper prices.

It is reported that China is the world’s largest producer of artificial diamonds (cultivated diamonds). According to the statistics of Bain & Company’s “2019 Global Diamond Industry Report”, in the global cultivated diamond consumption market, the United States and China account for about 80%/10% of the world’s total respectively. %.

Global jewelry-grade lab-grown rough diamond production in 2020 is approximately 6 million to 7 million carats. Among them, China’s output is 3 million carats, mainly using the HTHP method; India is 1.5 million carats, and the United States is 1 million carats, mainly using the CVD method.
