Recently, the international standard “Railway Application-Side Window of Locomotive and Rolling Stock” (ISO 22752:2021), which was developed under the auspices of CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd., was officially released and implemented on the official website of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This standard is the first ISO international standard for railway vehicle system components led by China, marking an important breakthrough in China’s rail vehicle standards going global.
It is reported that ISO
The 22752:2021 international standard was first proposed in 2015 and the project was approved in August 2017. It was drafted by ISO/TC269/SC2/WG3 (the third working group of the Locomotive and Rolling Stock Subcommittee of the International Organization for Standardization Railway Application Technical Committee). CRRC Qingdao Sifang The company engineer serves as the convener of the working group and presides over the preparation of the standard. Participants include 19 major railway operators, main engine companies, component R&D and production units and scientific research institutes in 7 countries around the world.
After the project started, it lasted 6 years, after nearly 100 supportive tests, more than 40 rounds of meeting discussions and multiple rounds of rigorous technical reviews. The draft standard was recognized by experts from various countries and was finally approved by the International Standardization Committee in August this year.
The ISO international standard “Railway Applications-Side Windows of Locomotives and Rolling Stock” was compiled on the basis of China’s national standards and railway industry standards and fused with relevant standards of other countries. This standard applies to all types of rail vehicles such as EMUs, locomotives, passenger cars, trucks and urban rail vehicles. It is divided into 6 parts, 7 appendices, and a total of 13,131 words. It regulates the safety, comfort, and durability of the side windows of the car body. Performance parameter requirements and test methods for all categories such as sex. The standard is versatile and highly maneuverable, and innovatively optimizes performance requirements and test methods such as aerodynamic fatigue, optical distortion, and passenger protection, and is more comprehensive than existing domestic and foreign standards.
The side windows of the car body are responsible for the functions of sightseeing, sound insulation and load-bearing, which are related to the safety and reliability of the car body and the ride comfort, and are an important system component of the rail vehicle. The promulgation of this standard fills the gap in the international standard for railway vehicle windows.
The formulation of the international standards for rail vehicle side windows led by Chinese enterprises is an important achievement of the internationalization of China’s railway vehicle standards. Equipment products “go out”.
