Bloober Team is the developer of the Layers of Fear series, and they recently released a new work, The Psychic. But before making horror games, they were seasoned developers. They first released Egypt History: Empire Building and Paper Wars: Destroying Cannon Fodder on the PSP, followed by Assault Legion, Assault Legion 2 and Deathmatch Village on PS3 and PSV. Before Layers of Fear, they also launched two action games, Basement Crawl and Brawl Stars, on PS4. The latest work, “Spiritual Medium”, has landed on the PS5 platform.
Putting these 12 games into PS Plus is in line with the description in the sales contract that “adds the distribution rights of the publisher’s works to the new sales system”.
The most plausible explanation for the latest sales agreement is, of course, PS Plus, but this agreement may also be related to rumors of a new Silent Hill game being developed by Bloober Team. And judging from the leaked screenshots of “Silent Hill” yesterday, it is quite the style of Bloober Team. They are also currently working on the new Layers of Fear for Unreal Engine 5 and working with Rogue Games on an original next-gen new game.
