Fisker originally unveiled a prototype of the Ocean SUV at CES 2020, the annual technology trade show in Las Vegas. The first 5,000 vehicles will be the Fisker Ocean One, which will also cost US$68,999. These dual motors bring greater power and faster acceleration time. The Extreme’s estimated peak horsepower will be 540 horsepower, and the 100 km acceleration time will be 3.9 seconds. Extreme and Ocean One will be able to output up to 550 horsepower, acceleration time to 100 kilometers in 3.6 seconds.
Ultra, Extreme and the first version will be equipped with CATL battery cells, using nickel-manganese-cobalt battery chemistry. According to the company, the Ultra’s estimated cruising range is 340 miles, and the Extreme’s cruising range will exceed 350 miles.
It is reported that Fisker currently has two automotive projects in progress. Among them, the Fisker Ocean SUV occupies a central position on the company’s booth at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It will be assembled by the European auto contract manufacturer Magna Steyr. The car is scheduled to start production in November 2022 and will be delivered in Europe and the United States at the end of 2022. It is planned to reach a monthly production capacity of more than 5,000 vehicles during 2023. Delivery to Chinese customers is also expected to begin in 2023.
In May 2021, Fisker and Foxconn signed an agreement to jointly develop and produce a new electric vehicle.
