Tesla recruits service technicians to prepare for delivery of Semi trucks
Tesla’s own delivery fleet has been using the Semi electric truck for several months, but the company has yet to deliver the electric truck to customers. Now Tesla is recruiting more technical service personnel in preparation for delivering the Semi to customers.
According to Tesla’s official website, “We are looking for experienced service technicians to expand the Semi service program. The company also said, “Our goal is to find experienced technicians who want to take their careers to new heights. . Their job is to provide technical support for products, and to be responsible for service development, to be front-line technicians, and to provide face-to-face service to our new customers. “
Tesla said it is currently recruiting technical service personnel to work in Fremont, California, Sacramento, Modesto and the Central Valley.
Walmart, Pepsi and DHL have ordered Tesla’s Semi electric truck.
It is reported that the standard version of the Tesla Semi electric truck costs $ 150,000 and is equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of up to 600 kWh and can travel 300 miles (about 482 kilometers) on a single charge. Tesla also supplies the Semi truck with a 1,000-kilowatt-hour battery pack that can travel 500 miles (804 kilometers) on a single charge, and the battery pack costs $30,000. The Tesla Semi electric truck can be charged to 70 percent in half an hour and can weigh up to 82,000 pounds (37 tons) when fully loaded. Tesla claims that the Semi electric truck will save fleet operators $200,000 in fuel bills in the first three years of operation.
