South Korea’s Central Disaster Security Countermeasures Headquarters announced on the 25th that South Korea will enter the “phased recovery of daily life” mode from November 1st, that is, the “coexistence with the new crown virus” mode. If there are no emergencies such as a sharp increase in new confirmed cases in a single day, South Korea will resume daily life in three stages starting from November 1st, and each stage will go through a four-week implementation period and a two-week evaluation period. The government comprehensively evaluates the completion rate of vaccination, the number of intensive care units, the number of hospital beds, the incidence and mortality of severely ill patients per day, and the rate of reinfection before deciding whether to implement the next stage of measures.

Specifically, starting from November 1st, it will be the first stage of resuming daily life-the “restrictions on the operation of living facilities”. During this period, all public facilities except entertainment facilities and indoor sports facilities can be opened 24 hours a day. ; For places with a high risk of infection, such as recreational facilities and indoor sports facilities, only those who have completed the entire course of the new crown vaccine vaccination or those who have a negative nucleic acid test result are allowed to use it. In addition, the upper limit of the number of private parties in South Korea is 10 people; there are no additional conditions or applications for events with no more than 100 people, and there is a limit on the number of people who can complete the entire vaccination process for events with more than 100 people.
According to the current plan, the South Korean government will enter the second phase of “recovering daily life” from December 13-“allowing large-scale activities”; and on January 24 next year, it will enter the third phase-“lifting restrictions on private gatherings.” At this stage, all relevant restrictions on facility operations, activities, and private gatherings will be cancelled.
South Korea’s new crown vaccination completion rate exceeded 70% on October 23. The South Korean government will shift the focus of epidemic prevention from “controlling the occurrence of new confirmed cases in a single day” to “controlling and managing critically ill patients” and “controlling the occurrence of new confirmed cases in a single day” starting from November 1. “Resume daily life” come up.
