Like Overwatch, Overwatch: Homecoming also allows players to create custom rooms, with some very interesting custom games such as One Punch Man and Meow Meow. However customization also has a dangerous side, as many come across hidden pornography like “Tinderwatch 18+”, “Anime Girls Naked” and “$Ex”. Designed to appeal to thrill-seeking players, these rooms can be accessed by anyone, including teens, and take part in the conversation.
Twitter user Lynn_McGoo recently posted that her 12-year-old son found two pornographic modes while playing Overwatch: Homecoming, which made him uncomfortable. One of them is called “Sexual Harassment Simulator”, and the other is a simulation of female characters being raped. The parent said: “My son came into the room and chose a female character, the only female character in the game, and he was forced to lie down and the male character jumped on his character…my son was conscious If it’s not good, immediately turn off the game and tell me.”
Lynn_McGoo said the game should be “quickly removed” and advised other parents to do the same. Her tweet was retweeted by Twitch anchor Limmy, who said that since Overwatch, there have been these porn rooms, and it was easy for Blizzard to stop it, but it just didn’t. It’s a game for 12-year-olds, and it’s easy for people to get this kind of adult content from Overwatch: Homecoming, and it only takes 10 minutes to enter the game to find and join a custom room. Look in the “All Games” list for a minute or two and you’ll see rooms like “18+” or “Girls Naked.”
“Overwatch: Homecoming” has become a free game, and teens are more exposed to these evil content than ever before, calling on Blizzard to strengthen control and prevent children from being badly affected.
