The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania announced on Thursday that it will launch a new online course on January 3 next year-Blockchain and Digital Asset Economics, And will allow students to pay with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum or USD coin.
Kevin Werbach, the academic director of the project, said: “Blockchain and digital assets will not disappear.” He pointed out that the new courses are designed for various professionals in the fields of finance, management, and technology.
The project was developed with the help of Prysm Group, a blockchain economic consulting company that helps companies and other schools learn digital assets.
The large alumni network of the Wharton School of Business includes cryptocurrency supporter and Tesla CEO Elon Musk (Elon Musk), who graduated in 1997 and obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics and physics here.
Earlier this year, the Wharton School of Business announced that it had received the largest cryptocurrency donation ever-a donation worth $5 million from an anonymous donor.
