The Administrator of the United Nations World Food Program David Beasley once again called on Tesla CEO Elon Musk to donate part of his wealth to alleviate global hunger.Prior to this, he also released a plan outline to show the world’s richest man how to achieve this goal.
Beasley (David Beasley) said that the “system” is in place to “avoid crisis for 42 million people on the brink of famine in 43 countries”. This is just a problem that needs to be “scaled up”, requiring US$6.6 billion. He stated that he will release a “broad and detailed plan” in the next few days.
Beasley last week called on the super-rich such as Musk and Bezos to provide assistance to solve the problem of global hunger. He said that 2% of Musk’s wealth can solve the problem of world hunger, “US$6 billion can help 42 million people. If we don’t help them, they will die.”
Musk responded to this on Monday, saying: “If the World Food Program can use transparent and open accounting to describe in detail how to use 6 billion US dollars to solve the global hunger problem, I will sell Tesla stock now.”
