According to the report, experts are concerned about Vienna’s stability,educateIt scored a perfect score of 100 on the level of medical care and the quality of infrastructure. The cultural and environmental factors here are close to perfect.
In the top ten, six European cities make the list. Copenhagen and Zurich followed Vienna in the top three, followed by Geneva in sixth. Three Canadian cities made the top 10: Calgary (tied for 3rd), Vancouver (5th) and Toronto (8th).
To be included in the rankings, cities must be recognized “business destinations” or economic and financial centers, or have a client request, the report said. Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, which was severely damaged by a port explosion in 2020 and is highly politically unstable, was not included in the ranking.
In the context of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Kyiv had to be excluded, while Moscow dropped 15 places to 80th, the authors of the report noted. The report’s director, Upasana Dutta, explained that “Eastern European cities have dropped in the rankings” due to “increased geopolitical risks” and “life crises including soaring energy and food prices”.
Damascus remains the least liveable city in the world.
