This week, some Mac users who upgraded to macOS Monterey reported that the USB Hub and other USB devices were not working properly. There have been some reports on this issue on Reddit, Apple Developer Forum, and Apple Support Community.
Users reported that after upgrading to macOS Monterey, the USB Hub connected through the USB 3.0 port did not work, while HDMI, USB-C and other Hub ports continued to work as expected.
According to other user reports on the Internet, the USB Hub is not working at all. Some problems are even related toAppleThe certified Hub is related. Reddit user Flyersny81 recounted their experience:
My USB-C Hub has a problem with this update. The HDMI port connected to my second screen works on the Hub, but none of the USB3 ports work properly. I have tried different C ports and different Hubs on Mac Mini (I have 4). After updating to Monterey, I am also on my M1MacBookThis problem is replicated on Air. These USB Hubs can work normally on Big Sur.
I talked to the Apple support department on the phone, and they said they would try the Apple-certified Hub. I used this Hub floating in my bag, and its HDMI and USB3 ports can work. I tried to daisy chain the Amazon Hub and Apple Hub, but it didn’t work either. The support department told me that many people have been complaining about this problem and hope it will be resolved in the next patch.
