A few days ago, some overseas netizens posted on social media that the Rivian R1T they ordered had been delivered. From the launch in September to the actual delivery to customers, as a pure electric pickup, the Rivian R1T’s offline/delivery progress has been faster than Tesla’s electric pickup Cybetruck and Ford’s F-150 Lightning.
The RIVIAN R1T was first unveiled at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, but the car has been in the engineering stage before, so it was once suspected to be a “PPT car”; and then in 2019, it is reported that Amazon and General Motors are considering investing in RIVIAN. For start-ups, in May 2021, it is more news that the company has selected an underwriter for its IPO (public offering). The mass-produced models rolled off the assembly line in September this year, including the official delivery now is really exciting.
In the interior, the R1T has a 12.3-inch instrument screen, the central control part is a 15.6-inch display, and the rear passengers can also use a 6.8-inch screen.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a four-motor all-wheel drive system, with a maximum output of 764 horsepower, a peak torque of 1120 N·m, a 0-96km/h acceleration time of less than 3 seconds, and a top speed of 201 km/h.
