It is reported that Indian state agencies have invested thousands of dollars in the company, which began research and development as early as 2016. The company’s founder and electrical engineer Amit Pathak said it was a world first.
The reason why he came up with the idea of making an anti-smog helmet is because Amit saw the market demand for 30 million helmets per year. He said: If you are at home or in a company, you can use airfilter, but if you ride a bicycle and walk outside, it is equivalent to directly inhaling smog.
To this end, his company designed a helmet with an air-purifying device,The helmet comes with replaceable filters and a battery-operatedfan, the battery can run for 6 hours and can be charged through the microUSB slot, and it can intercept 80% of the haze pollutants.
However, due to the cost, the promotion of this helmet is not easy. It is reported that,Each helmet is priced at 4,500 rupees (about 390 yuan), the price is 4 times that of the ordinary helmet, and since the helmet weighs about 1.5 kg, it is heavier than the ordinary helmet.
The company said it was looking for ways to develop new materials to further reduce weight and costs, while India’s Ministry of Science and Technology backed it up, saying the helmet “brings a breath of fresh air to cyclists.”
