Nezha breaks through the sales ceiling of “Wei Xiaoli”

Compared with Nezha and Leapao, the year-on-year growth rate of “Weixiaoli” slowed down.
NIO delivered a total of 10,700 new vehicles in August, a year-on-year increase of 81.6%. From January to August this year, NIO delivered 71,600 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 28.3%; NIO’s historical cumulative delivery volume was 238,600.
Xiaopeng Motors, which has won the top sales many times before, delivered 9,578 vehicles in August, a year-on-year increase of 33%. Among them, Xpeng’s flagship model P7 delivered 5,745 vehicles, Xpeng P5 delivered 2,678 vehicles, and Xpeng G3 series delivered 1,155 vehicles. Since the beginning of this year, Xiaopeng Motors has delivered more than 90,000 vehicles, an increase of 95.9% compared with the same period last year.
Ideal Auto delivered 4,571 vehicles in August, a year-on-year and month-on-month decrease of more than 50%; from January to August this year, Ideal delivered a total of 75,400 vehicles, an increase of 56.5% year-on-year; its historical cumulative delivery is nearly 200,000 vehicles.
In addition, the catch-up of new car-making brands under the traditional car companies has also achieved initial results. The sales of second-tier new forces exceed “Wei Xiaoli” or become the norm
For the second-tier new forces to overtake the sales of leading companies, the industry generally believes that this will become the norm.
Zhang Xiang, a specially-appointed expert and auto analyst from China Bolian Think Tank, told The Paper, “The main models of Nezha and Leapmotor are all below 100,000 yuan. The auto market is like a pyramid. The smaller the capacity; the more affordable the economy car market is.”
Zhang Xiang pointed out that the current average sales price of fuel vehicles is about 170,000 yuan, and the average sales price of new energy vehicles is also less than 200,000 yuan. The market capacity above 200,000 yuan is generally small.
In addition, Zhang Xiang also said that new energy vehicles are currently sinking, and the first private car owners to accept new energy vehicles generally choose high-end models, so the current growth rate of this market is relatively slow.
The market is also expecting a sharp decline in the sales of ideal cars.
