Honda released an image Wednesday showing the redesigned 2023 CR-V’s dashboard. Honda calls it a “premium, more comfortable and more high-tech interior” in its press release.
The 2023 CR-V’s interior borrows heavily from the Civic, which also lends many design elements to the HR-V’s dashboard. The Civic’s horizontal climate ventilation mesh looks more or less unchanged on the CR-V, even including the knobs to adjust the vent positions. The steering wheel and instrument cluster look almost identical, and the “floating” infotainment screen is back, rising from the center of the dash.
Looking further down, there are a few key differences. The CR-V’s center console, which looks a bit wider, puts the parking brake and drive mode switch on one side of the shifter — on the Civic, those buttons are located between the shifter and the center console armrest. Aside from the location of the cup holders, the door panels are also quite different. There’s also a heat switch on the bottom spoke of the steering wheel, in addition to what looks like a fully digital instrument cluster.
We’ll get the full details of the 2023 Honda CR-V when it debuts on July 12. But after that, Honda’s new car isn’t quite over. Honda will also launch a redesigned Pilot three-row SUV this year as well as the Civic Type R and new Accord midsize sedan.
