Ford recently released sales data in the U.S. market for October and announced that the forthcoming pure electric van Ford E-Transit has been “sold out.”It is reported that the model will start production in the United States within a few weeks, and the European order will be arranged by Ford’s plant in Turkey in the spring of 2022.
Although Ford did not disclose the final order data for this model, judging from the more than 24,000 orders received in September, the final number is at least 25,000 orders. The current suggested retail price of this car ranges from US$43,295 to US$52,690, which is approximately RMB 276,800 to RMB 336,900.
Ford E-Transit began accepting pre-orders in May 2021. From May 9th to August 4th, the order exceeded 20,000, and by September 2nd, the total number of orders reached 2.4 in the past four months. Ten thousand orders.
So what is the output of this model in the first year after it starts production? Foreign media predict that Ford E-Transit’s output in the United States and Europe is similar, reaching between 10,000 and 20,000.
In terms of power, the Ford E-Transit is equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 198kW and a peak torque of 430N·m. It uses rear-wheel drive and matches LG’s 67kWh battery pack. The flat-top van version has a cruising range of 203km, while the WLTP in Europe has a cruising range. The mileage is 349km.
In terms of loading capacity, the standard version of this truck has a maximum load of 1724Kg, and the cutaway version has a maximum load of 1946kg. In terms of charging capacity, this model is equipped with an 11.3kW on-board charger, which can be fully charged in 8 hours with AC charging, while the peak power of DC charging can reach 115kW, which can charge the power from 15% to 80% in 34 minutes.
This model has three roof heights and three body lengths, as well as multiple functional versions. Ford also provides users with an 8-year or 100,000-mile warranty for electric vehicle parts.
