‘Dragon Family’ director will not continue directing second season
Sapochnik will continue to serve as executive producer on The Dragon Family, working alongside newcomer Alan Taylor, who will also serve as executive producer and direct the second season of the series. In a statement about his exit, Sapochnik said it was an honor and a privilege to work on the series, adding that he believed in Alan Taylor’s ability to make Dragons a stronger show.
Sapochnik said: “I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished in season one and delighted with the enthusiastic response from our audience. It was a tough decision to move on, but I knew it was the right choice for me. , both personally and professionally. But while I’m doing this, it’s comforting to know that Alan will be joining the series. He’s someone I’ve known and respected for a long time, and I’m sure this precious series won’t be in my hands safer.”
