Sapochnik will continue to serve as executive producer on The Dragon Family, working alongside newcomer Alan Taylor, who will also serve as executive producer and direct the second season of the series. In a statement about his exit, Sapochnik said it was an honor and a privilege to work on the series, adding that he believed in Alan Taylor’s ability to make Dragons a stronger show.
