Yesterday, Musk tweeted that plans to buy Twitter would be put on hold until more details are revealed that spam or fake accounts account for less than 5% of the platform’s total users.
As soon as the news came out, Twitter’s stock price plummeted 20% before the US stock market. Later, Musk later posted that he was still committed to acquiring Twitter.
Twitter has reportedly said that fake or spam accounts accounted for less than 5 percent of its users in the first quarter.
