Fourth, the specific energy is high, and the Kirin battery can improve the utilization of space,The energy density of the lithium iron phosphate system is 160wh/kg, and the ternary high nickel can reach 250wh/kg, which is 13% more power than the 4680 battery.
It is reported that the 4680 battery is Tesla’s third-generation battery product. It was announced last year that the energy density of a single cell is about 300Wh/kg, and the energy density of the battery pack is 217Wh/kg.
At that time, Tesla claimed that the energy of the 4680 battery increased by 5 times, the cruising range of the whole vehicle was increased by 16%, the power was increased by 6 times compared with the battery with tabs, and the power output was increased by 6 times.
In addition, at the online performance conference held by CATL in early May, CATL also proposed a new goal to mass-produce batteries that meet the requirements of no thermal diffusion and have a cruising range of 1,000km in 2023.
