In February of this year, Ziptzer expressed doubts about Tesla’s ability to maintain its position as the electric car champion in the competition. But since then, Tesla’s demand has continued to grow, and its Model 3 became Europe’s best-selling model in September.
Ziptzer said on Wednesday: “Our difference lies in our standards in terms of quality and reliability. We have different expectations for customer satisfaction.”
He said: “Tesla is not in the high-end market. They have achieved very strong growth through price cuts. We won’t do that because you have to stick to the whole process.”
