Automattic Announces Open Source Pocket Casts Client

After all, Automattic founder and CEO Matt Mullenweg is a big proponent of open source, and WordPress is one of the top open source projects on the planet.
By making Pocket Casts open source, this means that anyone can access program code, fix bugs, build new features, and even fork projects to build their own competing services on top of the Pocket Cast codebase.
The Android/iOS mobile client is currently open sourced to the community under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 – but as a copyleft license, it stipulates that all derivative projects must also be released under the same license.
