As expected, both Z790/H770 motherboards have versions that support DDR5/DDR4 memory and are compatible with 12th Gen Alder Lake and 13th Gen Raptor Lake processors.
Also, if you already have an Intel 600 chipset motherboard, you can upgrade to a Raptor Lake CPU fairly easily (waiting for a BIOS firmware update from the manufacturer).
As for the missing B760 product line, we’ve heard leaks from Biostar before. Even if Intel won’t launch it first, presumably consumers won’t have to wait too long.
Finally, it is reported that the Raptor Lake-S desktop CPU supports higher-speed DDR5-5600 / LPDDR5(X)-6500 memory while retaining compatible support for DDR4 memory.
As a competitor of Raptor Lake,AMDIt is expected to officially release the Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 series desktop processor and the matching AM5 motherboard on September 15.
