In addition to the earlier announced X670(E) and B650 chipsets, a so-called B650 “Extreme” model has also been revealed – which is known to provide PCIe 5.0 support for GPU and M.2 (x16 and x4 respectively).
Interestingly, shortly after the official launch, @Happy Fat House Qing XiansenA spy photo of a B650 LiveMixer motherboard PCB from ASRock was also posted on Weibo.
Netizens ridiculed that this combination of black, yellow and white patterns seems to be inspired by “Splatoon”. As for what it looks like with all the patches, connectors and IO ports installed, it doesn’t seem too hard to imagine.
Judging from the reserved patch position on the PCB, the ASRock B650 LiveMixer motherboard may adopt a 16+2+1 phase power supply design, providing dual 8-pin CPU auxiliary power supply, and three x16 PCIe slots.
Given that the B650 chipset used by the motherboard does not have the “Extreme” suffix, it is speculated that these are PCIe 4.0 slots (the two farther are actually x4 speed), and two M.2 can be seen.SSDand a mini-PCIe slot.
Finally, if all goes well, this ASRockAMDThe B650 motherboard should be available in October.
