“Tian Kun” has a total length of 140 meters, a width of 27.8 meters, a total installed power of 25,843 kilowatts, a designed dredging capacity of 6,000 cubic meters per hour, and a maximum digging depth of 35 meters. A standard football field can be dug one meter deep in one hour.
It is worth mentioning that the “Tian Kun” is also known as the “Island-building Artifact”, with a reamer power of 6,600 kilowatts.It can excavate rocks with a unilateral compressive strength of 50 MPa, a mud pump with a conveying power of 17,000 kilowatts, and a long-distance conveying capacity of 15,000 meters.
More intuitively, the 250,000-square-meter artificial island that originally took 30 years to fill, “Tian Kun” can be completed in only two weeks.
