today,Imagination announces its first real-time embedded IMG RISC-V CPU, model number “RTXM-2200”,It is also one of the first commercial cores of the previous Catapult series.
RTXM-2200 is aHighly scalable, feature-rich, and design-flexible 32-bit embedded solution, which can be integrated into complex SoC systems for network solutions, packet management, storage controllers, AI cameras, and smart metering sensor management, among others.
According to reports, the I-TCM and D-TCM of this real-time embedded core can be up to 128KB, while the L1 instruction cache and L1 data cache can reach 128KB, and it also supports a variety of floating-point formats, includingsingle precision, bfloat16, especially supporting bfloat16, can directly support AI applications without relying on other chips, reducing costs.
The IMG RTXM-2200 CPU is part of Imagination’s Heterogeneous Computing solution, providing complete hardware, software and debug support for Imagination IP, complementing Imagination’s leading GPUs, AI accelerators and Ethernet Packet Processor (EPP) cores .
In terms of software, it also has a fully functionalSDKs and Toolkits, available directly on multiple platforms to help develop and support the RISC-V ecosystem.
and alsoCatapult Studio IDE integrated development environment, based onVisual Studio, providing a familiar environment more suitable for modern developers and designers, operating system supportWindows, Ubuntu, CentOS, macOS, and provides full Linux support, including reference bootloader, kernel and filesystem, and is also compatible with gem5 software.
